The Girl from Ipanema

I love this song. When I was little i used to drive around in my granfathers big car, in the middle of the winter with the heat up,  or in the middle of the summer with the windows down. I would hum the lyrics and tap my little feet. For years I forgot all about this song, then by chance I heard it on the radio again a few days ago and its been in my head since. Such a beautiful song. 

It makes me crave sunsets on the porch, sexy slow dances, sipping sweet cool drinks and late night swims, things you'd imagine the girl from Ipanema would be doing. 

So what song do you love, believe is the soundtrack to your life? or at least a few season? What song do you believe perfectly describes your mood? I need a few new songs for my library so give me some good suggestions!

Nothing says summer more than literally being golden.

I love when people wear gold as more than just an accessory. 

Do you think its too much? 

How do you wear gold if at all? 

I bought an amazing black sheer tunic dress with gold beaded leaves embroidered all over, it can't get wet but its definitely for the beach.  Its very sheer and I'm trying to decide if it would be street appropriate with just a black bra and underwear underneath (a trampier option), a slip dress or hey maybe even an AA gold jumpsuit! tell me what you think darlings. I bad with these decisions I can never quite grasp the dress codes I guess its a good thing I don't work in an office...

 I'm mesmerized.  I love it because I envy her and her confidence to be able to get up there and do that. All of course while just looking amazing and effortless. 

Let the Games Begin!

Its summer finally, thank god. Things have gotten even better since I last posted and I am truly in much better spirits. Now that its summer I don't have to wish for it anymore. I just get to be excited for all of the great things to do this summer. What are you most excited for? How are you planning on spending your nights? and with who?

I think I remember your face

It's been a long time, infact its been the longest that its ever been. I suppose thats my fault though. Its been nearly six months, and thats half a year. I have missed you lovely people. I miss reading your blogs checking out your outfits and hearing about your lives.

I just want to start off by being completely honest. I have had a rough couple of months. I love my friends. With all my heart, but this semester of school I have felt so disconnected from all of them. I took five credits in one class in stead of the recommend (with good reason) four and I was so busy with work that i forgot all about life. There wasn't a day when I didn't look terrible, you'd be lucky to catch me in actual pants or skirts, it was mostly just yoga pants and old oversized cashmere or wool sweaters I got from goodwill. Its been a hard winter, and I was basically forced to give up everything I love. Just work work work and no play.

But its spring for sure, and summer is almost here! I have never been more excited for summer either. I can't wait. Although I don't have a job, I could au pair for my seven year old cousins, who I somewhat lovingly call the devil twins but I just dont have it in me .  Especially with a winter like I have had.
